There are so many ideas possible with this it is fun just to think about the possibilities.  I am always looking for new directions and projects to consult on.  I have made hyperblox from MAGIC: the gathering cards and lots of other trading cards.  It would also be possible to do this with prints and photos as well as postcards.  The recycling aspect is one reason why it is such a great concept in the way we look at our future and the future of the art of magic.  There are only a few other magicians that I know of that has made anything like this and the credits for those guys are Paul Harris and Harry Eng (via the Art of Astonishment Books/Book 3) Ray Roch (via Paul Romhany's Magic) and Jim Snapp however their design is different and a bit more unstable - also one is designed to work with invisible thread where the flimsy aspect comes in handy for that specific idea.

Origami and kirigami are some other great techniques to consider when jumping into hyperblox territory.  I have to be honest I have seen diagrams of this design in old books but I learned the basics on a how-to site for free.  For magicians these ideas allow you to create an entire show, props and all out of a few decks of cards.  Also I want to mention that there are a lot of ways where you can use half a card instead of a whole card which will cut down on the overall amount you will have to use but this does make them slightly less sturdy.

This design is a very old concept found in a lot of out of print magic books, all I have done is taken the old concept and taken it down some new paths, I hope it inspires you to think outside the box the way it has inspired me.
